YouTuber of the Week: Daniela Andrade

Welcome to the YouTuber of the Week series! Last time, we featured ASMRrequests. This time we have a melodious YouTuber for the feature. Our YouTuber of the Week is Daniela Andrade.

Daniela Andrade is a singer/songwriter from Canada who posts both originals and acoustic covers on her YouTube channel DanielaSings which she created in 2008. In one of her interviews, Andrade told how she started singing at the age of six. She said,

“First song I learned by ear was Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here, learned more songs by ear, eventually learned how to read chords and before I knew it I was starting to compose a few songs here and there,” she said.

What makes Daniela our YouTuber of the Week?

Daniela has a beautiful voice that needs more recognition. Through her sheer hard work and consistency, Daniela has made a name for herself. She has only relied on her music to reach where she is now. That’s what makes her stand out.  It seems that her efforts are now reaping benefits. Andrade now has more than a million subscribers on her YouTube channel and thousands of followers on Spotify.

Andrade garnered attention when she posted a cover of Crazy, a single by Gnarls Barkley. Her cover of “Hips Don’t Lie” featured Shakira herself.

The singer has just released her visual EP “Shore”. This visually mesmerizing EP comprises of four chapters- “Digital Age”, “Sound”, “Come Around” and “Shore”. She has been touring to perform shows and it seems she is having an amazing time.
