TERRY Sweeney, husband of ABC Brisbane newsreader Karina Carvalho, has put his Newstead bachelor pad on the market - though it seems he doesn’t want too much of a fuss made about it.

The property, which came on the market last week, was being privately marketed by Mirvac Queensland.

M Sweeney, an IBM Watson Health executive, once considered one of Brisbane’s most eligible bachelors, proposed to Ms Carvalho in September last year - just four months after buying the inner-city two-bed apartment.

The pair was married n Sri Lanka in January this year.

The unit fronts parkland and was being marketed as available to “move in now”. “Situated on level 9, this spectacular apartment boasts open plan living, designer galley kitchen including a range of Miele appliances, integrated joinery and stone bench tops.” It has allocation for two car parks, and direct access to the Brisbane Riverwalk.
